应 电气工程学院的邀请，英国University of Essex（埃塞克斯大学）计算机与电子工程系Huosheng Hu（胡豁生）教授于5月28日上午莅临我校，在电气工程学院会议室为我院师生进行了题为“Intelligent Robots that are inspired from Nature”的学术讲座。会议由电气工程学院院长江明教授主持，相关领域教师和学生踊跃参加了此次学术交流。

在学术报告会上，胡教授通过大量形象生动的构图及典型案例，深入浅出、通俗易懂地讲解源于自然启发的智能机器人发展历程及未来研究前景，引起了老师和同学们的兴趣，开阔了大家的眼界，赢得师生热烈的掌声。

报告结束后，胡教授对老师和同学们提出的问题一一进行了解答。胡教授的报告让聆听报告的师生们受益匪浅！

附：胡教授简历

Huosheng Hu is a Professor in the School of Computer Science & Electronic Engineering at the University  of Essex, leading the robotics research group. He received the PhD degree in robotics from the University of Oxford in the U.K, and worked there for 9 years. His research interests include behaviour-based robotics, human-robot interaction, service robots, embedded systems, data fusion, learning algorithms, mechatronics, and pervasive computing. He has published over 500 papers in journals, books and conferences in these areas, and received a number of best paper awards. Prof. Hu is a Fellow of Institute of Engineering & Technology, a Fellow of Institute of Measurement & Control, a senior member of IEEE, and a founding member of IEEE Robotics & Automation Society Technical committee on Networked Robots. He has been a Program Chair or a member of Advisory/Organising Committee for many international conferences such as IEEE IROS, ICRA, ICMA, ROBIO, and IASTED RA and CA conferences. He is currently Editor-in-Chief for International Journal of Automation and Computing, Editor-in-Chief for MDPI Robotics Journal, and Executive Editor for International Journal of Mechatronics & Automation.
